This set includes an early necklace and earrings. The necklace is set with white glass beads with a floral pendant featuring clear rhinestone centers. Also included are a matching pair of clip-on earrings.
The necklace has 4 strands of beads on one side and 2 strands on the other, for an attractive asymmetrical look. This is a lovely if lightly flawed set.
CONDITION: Sorry, not perfect pre-owned condition. The side with 2 strands of beads appears to be missing a bead. There are strings showing and I think it would be a wise decision to re-string this necklace. The earrings are fine. The earring clips are tight and secure.
SIZE: The necklace measures approx. 16" from end to end, including the extender. The elaborate pendant section measures approx. 3" by 2 ½".
HISTORY: Schrager made a line of jewelry known as JONNE that is often confused with Miriam Haskell jewelry made by Hess. It features fine beadwork wired onto a base ever so similar to Hess's style, that it creates confusion. This company was in business from 1926 until 1962. This set although unmarked can probably be attributed to 1950-1960 era.
