Maker: Steuben Glass Works (Corning, NY, 1903-2011)
Period: Art Nouveau/ Art Deco. This antique Steuben vase is a scarce shape that displays a rich blue aurene ribbed body, similar to Tiffany's Blue Favrile color and has all of the characteristic design qualities of a #938 lampshade. These vases were produced in the 1920s to help boost sales at Steuben. They were made in both blue and gold Aurene as well as a few other crystal colors and were inspired from a lamp shade design.
