Wardle and Co. (Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, 1871-1935)
Formed with a tall, straight neck and slightly sloping shoulder, this large and important vase was made by the famous art pottery house, Wardle and Co. It is a beautiful piece displaying both tube-line and slip decoration. It features a beautiful floral spray design in tones of yellow, gold and brown on an olive green ground. Note: it was later drilled as a lamp base. Similar to Owens/Weller glazes. Impressed mark: Wardle/ England/ 1931.
