This vintage beaded bag would have been used by a Senufo diviner during spiritual rituals. It would have served as vessel for various divination instruments and as a social symbolic function. The facade is composed finely woven beadwork, arranged in a diamond pattern with a strip down the middle. The focal point of the facade is the high relief beaded face, most notably having striped lips. The colors represented are midnight blue, light pink, orange, green, and bone. The back of this piece is distressed/ aged black and white striped fabric. It has beaded tassels at the bottom.
