This antique 19th century cabinet was made for the English market to reflect traditional Indian style. It was intended for a Victorian gentleman's tobacco cabinet. It is intricately carved in Indian foliate and architectural elements. It contains human figures as decoration and support. Most notably a winged male figure adorned with snakes, perched downward at the base of the piece. The original key is included.
