This vintage, African, Ndebele people apron is traditionally worn by a bride from her wedding day until she has her first child. The garment is decorated on the front side with a geometric pattern of tiny glass bead work in white, blue, red, green, yellow, purple and pink. This Jocolo (married woman's) apron displays the characteristic shape with five graduated panels on the bottom edge.
