An antique Islamic prayer board of double lobed niche form on an iron display stand. Mainly used by women, these wooden prayer boards are used in the same manner as a Sajjada or prayer mat. At prayer time, they were placed on the floor with the pointed end towards Mecca. After prayer, they are stored against the wall.
