This antique planter is crafted in the Mayan Revival style, at the end of the Arts and Crafts era, just before Art Deco. Heavy high fired clay with a cream colored glaze, has concrete pad on base to anchor in the soil. Possibly made by the Denver Terra Cotta Company (Pueblo/Denver, CO, 1885-1983).

PROVENANCE
Elitch Gardens (Denver, CO, 1890-1995). Elitch Gardens was famous at the time for lavish plantings and rustic gardens. The theatre is still standing.
