Whieldon Factory (Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, c. 1747-80)
Unmarked. Executed in the Chinese tradition, is a very scarce form. The pale, creamy yellow ground is decorated with applied and painted water lily designs in black, green and gold. The finial on the lid is an applied flower form. Provenance: Collection of Dr. Kenneth J. Maier (Chicago, IL).
