An antique American pewter porringer of traditional round form with center boss and single, crown or coronet handle.
Attributed to Samuel Green (Boston, MA, 1757-c. 1834, active 1779-1828). It is generally believed that SG was the marking for Samuel Green.
Stamped (underside of handle): S (backwards) G.
