Displaying an unusually nice patina, this mammoth vat was hand crafted as a storage vessel; probably for water or grain. It displays an unusual, ovoid, bulbous form with a rounded bottom. The small, flared neck holds two fairly delicate loops that hold round, swing handles. It is of impressive size and will be a stunning accessory indoors or outside. 18th century W 28 D 28 H 38 in. This is one of several in our gallery.
