A large, antique, Steuben glass dome or bowl shade in white calcite glass, acid etched with a radiating, leaf design. Shape number: 2488. This type of light shade would have been suspended from the ceiling. Calcite glass is a creamy white glass created by Frederick Carder around 1915. The translucency is achieved by adding molten ash to the molten glass. The height can be shortened.
