An antique British pewter charger, of round form with a broad flat rim and cavetto center made as part of the service for the royal coronation. Alderson made the main part of the service used at the banquet at Westminster Hall in 1821 to celebrate the coronation of King George. Some of this service is on display at the Pewterers Hall in London.

MAKER Thomas Dean Alderson (London, active 1790-1835)

MARKS Marked: King George IV cipher, maker's touch mark and London Superfine.
