A hand blown shade with a yellow base colored glass called Ambergris with blue and white pulled feather decoration. The glass was reheated and blown again causing the rough, jagged surface Durand called Moorish. It was a difficult technique that was not normally tried by other American glassmakers. Note the original tin insert for attaching it to a torchiere base. It unsigned as usual for this rough surfaced glass.
