Speculoos (or Speculaas) is a traditional, spiced shortbread cookie made in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and other countries around the St. Nicholas feast and Christmas holiday. This folk art cookie mold is carved in wood and displays a man with a prominent nose standing in profile, in 19th century dress. This piece would be great in a country kitchen or for holiday decor. Note: sold to benefit the Denver Art Museum (Denver, CO).
