An antique American rocker armchair with woven trapezoidal seat. The tall ladder back with turned finials and stiles flanking four arched slats, with scrolled arms and a rocker base joined by stretchers. From a private collection in Hadley, Massachusetts.

CONDITION
Note: original seat. At some point during the late 19th century or early 20th century the chair was upholstered as was the fashion during the Victorian era. As a result the finial was flattened on the backside to secure the upholstery.
