This antique American chest of drawers with fall front desk is built with beautiful figured mahogany was probably made in Salem, Massachusetts. It is crafted with a slanted desk top above four graduated reverse serpentine (oxbow) drawers with brass batwing handles, all raised on ball and claw feet. The slanted top opens to reveal pigeon-hole letter compartments over an arrangement of short drawers with inlaid stringing. Secondary wood: pine.
