This antique American mahogany clock features engaged columns, it has three tablet glass doors, the center of which displays the clock face, with painted foliate designs and roman numerals. Two of the tablet glass panels have figural prints of Georgian scenes. The larger upper of the two, shows a man and woman being served tea by a maid. The smaller thinner panel shows two men and women in action and dance poses. Interestingly inside of the piece is a pasted production label for the clock company, which also contains care directions and pictorial ornamentation. This large pasted label also has a wonderfully illustrated steam train at the top.
