An exceptional, antique French fireplace surround, this early piece was expertly hand carved in the restrained style but bold lines of the period. It features a moulded apron beneath the mantel, raised side reserves on the frieze and interesting, shaped reserves on the jambs, all with wide borders. It presents a subtle, but strong impression.
