An antique, impressionist landscape painting by Scandinavian artist Herman Alfred Leonard Wahlberg. It captures a tranquil country scene with a small pond and a red barn in the background.
Wahlberg was a landscape painter from Stockholm who trained at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts. He lived for a time in Germany as was associated with the Dusseldorf school before returning to Sweden in 1862. His work was displayed at the National Museum of Arts and the Paris Salons.
