The red field shows two cream pole medallions,each of four conjoint octagons. Rosettes and animals decorate each compartment. Stars,octagons and similar animals adorn the red field reserve. Cream border with octagons on a triple pole edged with closely set hooks. Dark brown wool warps. Wear band at one end and there are little areas of lesser wear in the field. Original selvages. Generally fairly good condition. Clear and crisp palette. A genuine tribal carpet in a relatively rare size and wholly geometric pattern. This rug has been cleaned professionally.
