Here is an original 1900's era Rawleigh's apothecary bottle. Labeled as “Colic & Bloat compound”. The label indicates that it is a mixture of alcohol, Cannibus Sativa, Belladonna root, and Aconite root (wolf's bane) “usefull for horses and cattle”. The bottle measures 7 1/2” tall and is in excellent condition, the glass side is embossed with the Rawleigh's trademark. Will Rawleigh started out as a door to door medicine peddler in 1889 and later established the W.T. Rawleigh Company in Freeport Illonis. The label on the bottle states that it is useful for horses and cattle. It still has the original cork and a bit of residue inside.
