This is a Hammond Multiplex typewriter from around 1913. These machines were manufactured with either a rounded ("ideal") keyboard or a straight ("universal") keyboard. The straight model like this one also came with a folding keyboard option.. This machine is in very nice cosmetic condition and all the features seem to function properly but it does have some issues. The "P" key and the "Cap" are missing. It will need a new impression strip, and ribbon spools. It is also missing one of the four rubber leg covers. Otherwise it appears to be in good working condition. The typeface shuttles are interchangeable on these machines, there is one standard typeface shuttle included. It's a very nice old typewriter, please feel free to ask any questions.
