This is a rare and original dice log or Chuck Luck game log manufactured by the H.C. Evans Park & Carnival Device Corporation of Chicago. H.C. Evans was once the leading manufacturer of gambling devices both honest and crooked. This game log is in excellent condition. It appears to be made out of Maple, has 12 sides measuring 6" long and 4" in diameter. All the numbers are in excellent condition as well. The game log was designed as a substitute for dice in a game like Chuck-A-Luck. According to the Evans catalogue, "The log could be rolled down an incline onto a flat surface thus indicating no operator control".
