Bing Pigmyphone Phonograph 1920's
Here is a small toy phonograph manufactured in the 1920's. Bing Werke, a company based in Nuremberg, were well known as a manufacturer of mechanical toys. They had a department devoted to making a range of children's record players and the 'Pigmyphone' is a typical example of their work.
This Pigmyphone is complete and in good working condition. The phonograph has a key wound mechanism and a removable soundbox or pick-up reproducer with a metal cone for sound amplification. All the parts disassemble to fit in the tin metal box. It will come with two vintage Little Wonder 5 1/2" records ("My Isle of Golden Dreams"and "It's Going to be a Cold Cold Winter") and one Emerson record ("Carry Me back To Old Virginny").
