This lovely “Royal Oak” pattern water pitcher was produced by Northwood Glass Company in the late 1800's. Featuring the distinctive square-shaped lip design, the pitcher color segues from a rich ruby hue to clear, with well-defined oak leaf & acorn details. In pristine condition, the only issue found is a manufacturing flaw which is inside the glass (perhaps an oddly shaped bubble?) where the handle meets the body of the pitcher -- best seen in photo #8. The glass is totally smooth in this spot, so this isn't a chip or a crack.
Difficult to find in the clear (unfrosted) glass variety, this would make an exceptional piece for your collection of Royal Oak!
8” tall, 21” at widest circumference, Square lip measures 3.75” on all 4 sides
Glass is unclouded; no chips, cracks or repairs; manufacturing flaw pictured (photo #8)
