A nice set of 4 early Spode plates. These plates were made by the Staffordshire Pottery of Josiah Spode. The blue printed mark was used from 1805 to 1830. Chinoiserie patterns like these were very popular at this time and are often copies of Chinese export porcelain patterns. The plates measure 9 5/8 inches in diameter and are in very good condition for their age . They have expected knife marks and wear from use, but no cracks, chips, or restorations.
