This is an early 19th century English pearlware set of plates that are hand painted in the Sprig or French Sprig pattern. The group includes a larger 9-5/8” diameter plate and six 8-3/8” diameter plates. The larger plate has a small chip on the edge (see fourth photo) and some wear to the decoration. One of the smaller plates has a small chip on the edge (see seventh photo) and a different plate has two chips on the base rim (top right in last photo). The porcelain also has typical original imperfections for this age and light crazing and discoloration. I am selling matching cups and saucers and a teapot in separate listings.
