This is a beautiful hand-painted compote from the late 19th century. The top and base have heavy gilded trim and the top has added enamel floral swags. There are fluted cuts along the underside of the compote's bowl.
This attractive piece is 3” high and 5 1/4” in diameter at the top. Unfortunately there are four chips along the underside of the scalloped edge that I show in three photos, and a few nips on the edges. There are no cracks in the glass. I hope you can appreciate the beauty of this piece in spite of its imperfections.
