I am selling a Wedgwood cobalt blue Jasperware pitcher from the 19th century. The piece has applied white classical figures and scenes over the deep blue pottery. The base is incised with the date mark “M” which indicates that it was made in 1884.
The jug is 5-1/2” high, 4-3/8” from spout to handle, and 3-3/8” in diameter at the base. The bottom is also incised “WEDGWOOD” and “ENGLAND” along with the the number “30” and some other maker's marks. There is a very small nip on the top edge as seen in the overhead photo in the four o'clock position. Beyond this the piece is free from other chips or nips, cracks, crazing, and repairs.
Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding the item or pricing. Ruby Lane allows for up to nine photographs so please be sure to scroll through all the using the arrows on the large photo. Some may not be shown in the thumbnail shots. Thank you for looking at my listings.
