Here is an example of the classic Sad Iron Rest design from A. Kendrick & Sons, Ltd, of West Bromwich. Attributed to Christopher Dresser and bearing Design Registry number 15023 (October 14th, 1884) and the No 8, it is a particularly well-cast piece, in good condition.
Size: Approx 9 1/8" long, 4 1/4" wide, 1 1/4" high (not including the "stops").
Condition: Light rust patina on the underside; topside shows evidence of minor wear use. No damage, restoration or repair that we can spot. Generally a lovely clean, crisp example of Victorian Aesthetic Metalwork.
Texas buyers please note that sales tax will be collected either by Ruby Lane or by us.
