Antique sterling silver & guilloche enamel fish brooch, circa 1910.
This unusual brooch features two finely detailed fish joined together by a red orb. Their scales transition from light to dark green with white fins and red eyes to match the orb they hold. The brooch measures approximately 1-3/4” wide by 1-1/4” tall and weighs 9.3 grams. Marked ‘Sterling’ on the reverse. Unpolished. The pin stem and catch appear to be replacements. The pin stem is slightly bent at the tip and opens to about an inch away from the catch (not a full 180 degrees) and the enamel shows minor wear. Still a wonderful old piece of Art Nouveau jewelry!
