This is an Art Deco French fashion print for the woman who loves the sport of winter skiing. It originally appeared in a haute couture French fashion magazine that dates to 1933. It is original to 1933 and NOT a recent reproduction print. The image showcases sportswear for the active ski enthusiast. Illustrated and signed and dated by Pierre Mourgue, one of the leading fashion illustrators who worked for leading French fashion magazines in the early part of the 20th century. It is in excellent clean condition with strong color contrast. Done on thick stock. Note the use of silver tone metallic inks. Metallic inks are rare and were used during the 1920s-30s. This makes the image particularly unique. Perfect decor for your ski house. Makes a great gift idea for the woman who loves to ski! 9.75 x 11.75 inches. Comes matted in a neutral tone custom mat ready for a 16 x 20 standard size frame. Please allow time for custom matting.
