This is a perfect gift for the equestrian! And it is a rare find! This original print was a story illustration form a 1913 French periodical. It features a couple out for their promenade in the countryside. They are engaged in light conversation before their gallop begins. Dressed in full riding attire they are mounted on their horses and off for a ride in the light morning sun of springtime. The print is clean and pristine. This is particularly wonderful as the print is over 100 years old! The colors are very strong and there is a beautiful line quality in the drawing. There are no marks, rips, foxing discolorations nor any other indications of its age. The print is signed in the lithograph stone by the artist. It is 8 ¾ x 10 ¼ inches in size. It is original to 1013 and NOT a recent reproduction. It will be custom matted in a neutral 16 x 20 inch mat and works perfectly in a standard size frame. Please allow time for custom matting.
