This original 1951 French vintage advertisement print is for Lanvin perfumes. This publicity print is one of a series of advertisements illustrated by Guillaume Gillet. Gillet created fanciful images to promote the varied fragrances of Lanvin perfumes such as Arpège, My Sin, etc. He often used typical Parisian street scenes as a backdrop for his illustrations. This image would work well in a powder room, bathroom, dressing room, hallway. The whimsical character will make you smile. It is a prime example of French advertising art. Originally published in a French periodical. 8.5 x 11.5 inches in size. Original to 1951; NOT a recent reproduction. Signed by the illustrator. A+ condition.
