This is a pair of French fashion prints that date to the Art Deco period. They originally appeared in a French haute couture fashion magazine that dates to 1936. They are NOT recent reproductions. They were illustrated by Jean-Gabriel Domergue who worked for some of the leading couturiers of the time. His fashon illustrations often showcased slender elongated silhouettes of women. These fashion illustrations featured evening dress designs from Schiaparelli, Marcel Roches, Jeanne Lanvin and Callot. The long evening gowns are shapely and flattering. They are colorful and fun! Perfect for today's fashionista! The pair makes a great decor statement.
