This is an Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau c 1900 decorative design lithograph by the famed French designer and illustrator Jules Habert-Dys (1850-1925). Habert-Dys is known for his fanciful decorative designs for ceramics, wallpapers, textiles, vases, etc. His work is intricate and exquisite and reflects the Japanese influence at the time. Habert Dys' works are found in museums and library collections around the world. This image is a botanical inspired design for wall paper featuring the poppy (coquelicot). It is a delicate and ethereal motif. Note the wonderful detail and intricacies in the floral studies. This is typical of Habert-Dys' works.
