This is a fabulous Art Nouveau image by the iconic Jules Chéret. Chéret is perhaps the best-known of the poster artists at the turn of the 20th century. His poster ads for cabarets, music halls and theaters are highly recognizable and highly collectible. His works are in museums worldwide. He created the Maîtres de l’Affiche collection which is sought after by art collectors. This image dates to 1911. It captures Chéret’s style in color, feel and imagery. Vibrant colors and tumultuous movements characteristic of his works. This image is entitled "“Les Blés"; the floating figures swirl in motion amidst the cherubs and all are beautiful framed in floral garlands. The image is signed in lower right.
