This is a matted French Art Nouveau lithograph that dates to c1900. It is a design that came from an unbound decorator's album that featured silk fabric designs. Such images were used for designs in textiles, leathers, tapestries, wall decorations, etc. This image features floral inspired designs with intricate patterning. Note the "etched" drawings that surround the central design as well as those in the surrounding patterns. The soft pink and mauve coloring serves as a backdrop to the deeper reds, pinks, and greens in the center. There is wonderful detailing throughout. Pristine condition. 7.75 x 11.5 inches in size.
