This is a set of 2 French design lithographs that feature floral and fish motifs for porcelains. They are decorative images created by the well acclaimed artist, Habert-Dys, c1900. Habert-Dys' works are found in museums and library collections throughout the world. He is known for his intricate patterns of birds, flowers, fish, insects, etc that were designs for ceramics, plates, dishes, textiles, wallpaper and jewelry. They reflect the elements of Japanese influence in the late 19th century and are characteristic of the Art Nouveau period. His works are now frequently reproduced in giclee. These lithographs came from an unbound French portfolio from c1900. They are NOT reproductions! They are clean and pristine. Habert-Dys lithos are very difficult to find in such pristine condition.
