This French Art Deco lithograph print is from a series called “Le Femme Chez Elle”. The series portrays the “woman at home”. The original paintings appeared in the Paris salon in 1934; this print was published in the 1934 L’Illustration Noel magazine that highlighted the salon exhibition. A. E. Marty was the illustrator of this image that depicts a tender moment of a mother at home with her child. A.E.Marty was a leading Art Deco illustrator. He was appointed on the jury for the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes, from which the Art Deco movement took its name. His work appeared in high styled fashion magazines such as La Gazette du BonTon, Vanity Fair, Vogue, etc. He is highly regarded and highly collectible. This lithograph tells a story which is relevant to every mother and makes a perfect gift for a mother. It works with all home décor styles.
