1926 Art Deco Erté print-Marriage Dance1926 Art Deco Erté print-Marriage Dance1926 Art Deco Erté print-Marriage Dance

This is a matted original French vintage lithograph by the famed Art Deco illustrator Erté. Erté is most famous for his elegant fashion and costume designs which are synonymous with the Art Deco period. They are highly recognizable worldwide and still influence fashion and art trends today. Erté worked for Paul Poiret in the early years of his career and later designed covers for Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue magazines. He also designed theater programs and design sets for the Ziegfeld Follies.
This lithograph originally appeared as a story illustration in a 1926 periodical story about the mysterious allure of gemstones. It is entitled “Marriage Dance”. This lithograph is signed with the iconic Erté signature in the lower right. The print is in excellent condition with no foxing, tears, or folds. It is original to 1926 and NOT a recent reproduction. It has become increasingly more difficult to find with the passage of time. It is 6.25 by 9 inches in size and comes matted in a neutral 16 x 20 inch mat which works in a standard size frame. Please allow time for custom matting. See other Erté images in our shop.
