This is a matted antique print that dates to 1912. It features a highly styled woman of the time with playful, whimsical fantasy accessories. Illustrated and signed in stone by the well-known illustrator Paul Iribe, a decorative arts French illustrator (and Coco Chanel's lover!). Iribe's work became synonymous with the modernistic style emerging during a revolutionary time in art. He transcended from the Asian Japanese influences into the Art Deco period for which he had worldwide success. This fashion design showcases the Asian influences of patterning and detailing in the textiles. The bouquet is a single fantasy flower which compliments her hat design. The print was originally a fashion print from a 1912 French magazine. It is in excellent condition. 10 x 9 inches in size. Comes matted in a neutral tone 16 x 20 inch custom mat ready for a standard size frame. Please allow time for custom matting.
