Vintage 1960s Estee Lauder Bag With Matching Mirror
Both pieces are marked Estee Lauder and the pulls have engraved el on them
In very good vintage condition as it has some very light wear to the top of the purse
This handbag could be used to carry as a purse
Could be used for traveling holding all your makeup and your skincare - for quick retouches during the day
Personally I would carry it as a bag
Any dark places on the gold metallic are just reflections
You could even put the mirror in another purse as well

Little History for Estee Lauder
It all began with a woman, a dream and four skincare products…and the rest, as they say is history. But history that became beauty industry legend. At the start of her journey Mrs. Lauder was a woman armed with only the drive to work hard, the determination to succeed and a passion for beauty. And succeed she did – transforming beauty into big business.
In 1946, with her husband Joseph, she launched the Estée Lauder brand with only 4 skincare products. Within 2 years Saks Fifth Avenue in New York became the first Estée Lauder counter in the world and the cosmetics industry would be changed forever.
Estée Lauder understood women and more importantly how to sell to women. The use of samples to tempt customers, the creation of the first ever Gift with Purchase promotion, the introduction of the first make-up colour collection and above all, the power of demonstration to “wow” customers were all created by Mrs. Lauder herself and today are common best practices used by brands around the world. The list of firsts for the brand has continued year after year……
1953 - Youth Dew causes a fragrance revolution. At that time women did not buy fragrance for themselves, and Estée Lauder wanted to create a fragrance that women could wear everyday and buy for themselves…so she created a bath oil that doubled as a perfume.
1956 - Re-Nutriv introduced the first ever luxury skincare collection. Retailing at the unprecedented retail price of 0.00 because Mrs. Lauder believed that women want the best in skincare…at any price.
1960 - Estée Lauder opens its first counter outside of the U.S. in Harrods, London.
1962 - The first make-up colour collection in the industry makes its debut.
1982 - The introduction of Advanced Night Repair ushers in for the first time scientifically based skincare….with the first repair product in the industry.
1985 - The introduction of Beautiful – considered at that time to be the most complex fragrance ever created.
1993 - Evelyn Lauder, Mrs. Lauder’s daughter-in-law founds the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
1997 - Foundation is transformed with the introduction of Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup – long wearing, with a 15 hour staying power!
2007 - The introduction of Signature services – a menu of complimentary services offered to every customer, every day. A first in the industry.
2009 - Advanced Night Repair is updated and becomes an even bigger industry leader.
2010 - Make-up artist Tom Pecheux joins the brand to lead the artistic direction for the next generation of Estée Lauder make-up.
2012 - Mrs. Lauder’s legacy continues…..
