Large Cast Iron German Christmas Tree stand.
Ornate with cherubs faces on all 4 sides. Sturdy! Solid cast iron - can't imagine it tipping very easily. It likely dates to the early 1900's or possibly late 1800's. Three screw-in tighteners look like they are original and all work smoothly.
From the edge of one corner straight across the the edge of another corner is about 9 inches square. Measured diagonally from corner to corner, it is about 8 1/2 inches tall. The opening for the tree is 2 3/4" across. The stand weighs about 5 1/2 pounds. Some age wear to silver paint on cherubs.
