This is a sterling silver claret ladle is made in the Gorham Strasbourg flatware pattern that was introduced in 1897. The claret ladle is an antique, so does show some signs of being used, but not abused. This claret ladle is NOT new but is in extremely good antique condition with some minor scratches and such from normal use.
This claret ladle is not monogrammed and has not been buffed, but has been hand polished. This is an original Gorham factory made piece.
The claret ladle measures approximately 13 5/8" long. The bowl of the ladle is shaped and looks similar to a jack-in-the-pulpit flower. The claret ladle is marked "STERLING" and does have the Gorham lion, anchor "G" logo along with the number "H147".
