Sterling silver and wooden handled William Spratling absinthe spoon. Absinthe may have been illegal in the United States, but it seems to have been legal in Mexico.
Overall length of the absinthe spoon is approximately 6 inches, the wood handle portion is just a little over 3 inches long. The Spratling markings are on a silver disc set in the end of the handle. This absinthe spoon appears to be from what is referred to as Spratling's third period.
