Sterling Silver Taxco Choker This dramatic design is stunning, beautifully made and sure to attract notice and many compliments. We've polished it minimally- If you'd like it brighter, just let us know, we'll polish more thoroughly upon purchase.
The backs of the seven elongated sections are slightly curved to that they will lay properly on the human body-- a feature that is much more difficult to execute than simply soldering the pierced front onto a flat sheet of silver. This attention to detail indicates the designer really thought about how this piece would look and feel when worn.
The maker's mark S.B. in a circle with Taxco Mexico Sterling is listed in Hougart's "Mexican Silver Hallmarks", but we haven't found additional information.
