Joseph A. Burlini Kinetic Gumball Machine Sculpture C.1970s
A fun and colorful sculpture by noted American sculptor Joseph Berlin (b.1937)
Joe Burlini is mostly known for his larger than life outdoor sculptures, some of them as tall as 70 feet. His sculptures can be found in the collections of The Pentagon in Washington DC, Chicago Botanical Gardens, Standard Oil Building in Chicago, and many other sites.
He studied industrial design at the Art Institute of Chicago for four years and planned to do sculpting on the side. He bought himself a set of torches, and taught himself how to weld and sculpt.
This fabulous mid modern sculpture will add a touch of color and childhood memories to any contemporary interior.
Sculpted from chrome plated and enameled steel and sitting on a wooden base.
The base measures 8" x 3.75" x 3.75".
The sculpture measures 10" wide x 22" high.
Very good vintage condition.
