Vintage Heavy STERLING SILVER 5.7oz Cigarette Case 1936 Birmingham England Hallmarks Engine Turned
Great for photos, large cards, small notepad, and paper trinkets!
MEASUREMENTS: 4.25" x 3.3"
HALLMARKS: Lion Passant for Sterling Silver, and full hallmarks for Birmingham England
WEIGHT: 5.7 oz = 5.19 Troy oz
CONDITION: Good pre-owned vintage condition with some expected wear and tarnish. It opens and closes gently. The button you push in to open is pretty touchy. You barely push on it and it pops open. It does snap shut and stays closed but may open slightly easier. The case is a tiny bit askew when closed. I am just being really picky here...its a very nice case!
It is Very Heavy for its size, and feels nice in your hand. This is a slim case, as cigarettes were smaller at that time. This is a handsome looking case with a nice engine turned pattern, and art deco design. It does have light surface scratches and some very small dents here an there. The inside is very nice. It Does have an engraving that says To Peter From Natalie 1936. The edges have wear to the silver.
Perfect for anyone! This would be great to use to store and show off smaller photos, for larger cards, use with a small notepad, or for other small paper trinkets and special little receipts/tickets etc. Please see photos, as these are part of the description.
